St Augustine’s church is a community of faith.
St. Augustine’s has always connected with the local community. An important area of ministry is pastoral visiting and offering communion by extension at senior residential and care homes.
Once a year, we publish a directory of members with photos to help people get to know one another, especially those new to the church.
After Mass every Sunday, we have a natter over a cup of coffee; everyone gets invited.
Each year we have a days-out programme, visits to places of interest and Pilgrimages. Recently we’ve been to the Holy Land, Rome and Assisi, Walsingham, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Salisbury, Chichester, St Alban’s, Ely, Cambridge and Canterbury.
The events in our church year are the Family Bring & Share Picnic and the Summer Fair. Everyone gets involved in fundraising and outreach into the local community for these events.
