Giving at St. Augustine’s

Giving from the church family represents the largest single contribution to the costs of ministry at St Augustine’s. It provides for the staff, services, outreach, giving to Mission Partners, running costs and the upkeep of the building. If you would like more information about our Income and Expenditure, you can request a copy of our latest Annual Report by contacting the church office here.

Information about individual giving is kept confidential by the Finance Team – Rachel Akroyd (Treasurer), Alison Cottle (Volunteer Administrator) and Fred Richards (Warden). Specific information about what individuals give will not be seen by pastoral staff (including Scott). If you have any questions on giving and finances at St Augustine’s please contact our treasurer, Rachel Akroyd (treasurer@staugustineswembleypark.com)

If you would like to give towards the ministry of St Augustine’s, there are a variety of methods.

The Parish Giving Scheme (Preferred)

The Parish Giving Scheme is an online platform we use for one-off or regular giving (either as a set amount or with the option to increase your giving by an inflationary amount each year).  This is our preferred way of receiving giving and is used by many of our givers. Giving is usually set up to be automatically sent monthly. All you need to do is go to our Parish Giving Scheme Page (click here or scan the QR code below), set up an account and decide the amount and timing for regular giving.

Please ensure you tick the Gift Aid option if you are eligible (UK taxpayers). Do note that there is a small delay between setting up your giving and the first payment being taken.

Give As You Earn

The Give As You Earn scheme allows your giving to be deducted pre-tax from your salary.

To participate, your employer must have opted into the scheme. Some employers offer to match or contribute to your donations, so it is worth asking your employer’s payroll or HR team whether your company is signed up.

You usually cannot gift aid donations given through the Give As You Earn scheme, but it is worth checking the terms of your employer’s scheme and completing a gift aid form if eligible.

If your employer requires any documentation in support (eg charity status or bank details), please contact treasurer@staugustineswembleypark.com.

Standing Order

Forms to set up a Standing Order are available on request at the church.  Please ensure you also complete a Gift Aid form if you are eligible.

Please contact treasurer@staugustineswembleypark.com for more details.

Card and Contactless

The card reader by the Main Entrance can be used for one-off giving.  Input your donation amount on the screen and the payment terminal will light up.

Please remember to select Gift Aid if you are eligible to do so.

Cash Giving

Cash gifts can be placed in the collection baskets on the welcome table.

If your gifts are eligible for gift aid, please fill in a Gift Aid envelope.  If you plan to give cash regularly, weekly giving envelopes are available on request which only require you to enter Gift Aid details once.

To request a pack of giving envelopes please email: treasurer@staugustineswembleypark.com
